Biography:

Dr. Anant Kumar Singh is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2013. His research interests are advanced finishing/machining, nano-finishing methods using magnetorheological (MR) fluids and their applications in industries, and automation in manufacturing. He published over 42 research papers in international journals and conferences. He filed three patents applications from his area of research. His teaching interests are Industrial Automation and Mechatronics. He has 14 years working experience as a teaching and research at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology Patiala and JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida (UP). He supervised 14 master and 01 Ph.D. theses in the area of MR fluid based finishing methods and their applications. He visited Canada and USA to present his research papers at International Conferences in the year 2014 and 2017. He received best learner award during the STC on Integrated Automation Technologies (1-6 June 2015) at IIT Delhi. He is also working as a program coordinator of Undergraduate Mechatronics Engineering and faculty president of Formula Race Car (Team Fateh and Mega ATV championship) at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala. He is the life member of professional society such as Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
