Biography

Dr. Chudasama received his Ph.D. Degree from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar in 2008 in Crystallography. Dr. Chudasama joined Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as Assistant Professor in 2009. Prior to his appointment in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, he worked as lecturer at the National Institute of Technology, Surat. Before this, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Physics, Bhavnagar University. He is also a recipient of Shri R.K. Bhatt Memorial Gold Medal awarded by Bhavnagar University for securing First position in Master of Science program in Physics in 2003.

Description of Research Interests

Dr. Chudasama works primarily in Nanomedicine. His current assignments are focused on development of nano carrier based platforms for cancer theranostics that includes optical and magnetic hyperthermia and active and passive delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs. He also works on development of nanoantibiotics with a focus on environmental impacts of nanostructured materials. Dr. Chudasama has expertise in manipulating materials at nanoscale vis-à-vis their size, shape and surface characteristics. His research interest also extends into the development of magnetic fluid based coolants for thermomagnetic cooling of high power transformers.
